Ankh 2
Inspiration for this beautiful pendant was taken from an ancient tablet found in Egypt. It incorporates five of the most popular Egyptian symbols :
Ankh: Symbol of
life. It is one of the most important amulets used in ancient Egyptian tombs
and pictures. In the shape of a 'T' of a cross surmounted by a loop; the Ankh
symbolizes the triumph of life over death. It symbolizes life and immortality,
the universe, air and water. The Ankh is believed to serve as a conduit for the
divine power of life that permeates the universe.
Shen: A loop of rope that has no beginning
and no end, embodies infinity and symbolizes eternity. Known as a magic ring,
it protects against illness and other evils.
Djed:
Represents stability and strength. Symbol of Osiris, the God of resurrection.
Horns: Representing Hathor, the Egyptian
mother goddess and goddess of all that is best in women and of love, music and
beauty. Also known as the Goddess of Duality.
Horus the falcon: Depicted with wings
outstretched in a gesture of protection of all creatures in heaven and earth.
